Treatment with water

But what is a spa?

Literally, SPA is the acronym for “Sanitas Per Aquam”, “Health through water” in Latin.

Today, it refers to a warm water pool that provides wellbeing.

The Spa is one of the main players in the field of hydrotherapy: treatment with water. More specifically, it is part of balneotherapy: treatment through bathing. Balneotherapy is when fresh water is used, as opposed to thalassotherapy which uses sea water.

Most of today’s spas are based on a range of complementary therapies _ such as sound therapy, using sounds such as the sound of flowing water via fountains_ chromotherapy and music therapy.

With the Apesanteur Spa, we wanted to go one step further, adding not only the massage of new areas of the body, but also floatation therapy.
